It’s evening and the storm is about to break.
They have left the sanctuary of their own home and left the fire burning for their return. All the birds have disappeared and they make their way to the clifftop to marvel at the burning sky.
The sea begins its simmering dance and the wind drowns out the warmth.
Suddenly their hearts sink as they catch sight of a clipper.
They know that no sailing ships pass this way; they have lived here for years, so they know that it can only be the storm that controls the fate of the crew.
Will they ride the storm out or will they be dashed against the shore? What can they do about it as they watch but cannot turn away?
